Hello, I’m Annie
I started my teaching career in Argentina and quite soon I realised that many of the techniques and approaches to teaching I read about might work very well in some contexts, but they did not in mine, so I began adapting, changing and spicing up my lessons with my own ideas.
Time went by and I had the opportunity to start teaching at university. Helping pre- and in-service teachers discover new ways of teaching and develop their creativity became my passion, which I ended up pouring into the books I write and the training sessions I give.
Like me, many teachers feel that there are many aspects of their teaching practice that need revisiting, rethinking and improving.
I have

  • over 30 years’ experience as a teacher in different contexts, teaching students of all ages and levels (been there done that!)
  • over 20 years’ international experience as a trainer and mentor
  • more than 50 published titles that reflect my beliefs about teaching

This places me in an ideal position to help teachers of English to enhance their teaching practice and become agents of change.
